Non-Assignment of Insurance Benefits

Tartan Dental does not accept direct payment from insurance companies. Full payment for treatment is required at the time of the scheduled appointment.

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

There is a difference between the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) fee guide and the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) fee guide. Patients are responsible for paying this fee difference at the time of their appointment.

Appointment Confirmation

Patients will be contacted prior to their scheduled appointment using their preferred method of communication. Appointments must be confirmed as instructed to secure the reserved time.

Late Arrivals

Late arrivals may result in a shortened visit or rescheduling if there isn’t enough time to complete treatment.

Cancelled and Missed Appointments

At least 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations to allow other patients access to care. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice and missed appointments will incur an $80 fee.

Cancelled and Missed IV Sedation Appointments

Cancellations made at least five (5) business days in advance are eligible for a full refund of the initial deposit. Cancellations made with less than five (5) business days’ notice will result in $500 of the initial deposit being retained.

Changes to Appointments

The practice carefully schedules appointments and allocates time, staff, and resources accordingly. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify the office as soon as possible.

While the practice will make every reasonable effort to accommodate emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, please understand that repeated cancellations or missed appointments may require a reassessment of ongoing care at this practice.
